ALexa has a dance recital coming up this Sunday and I am so excited. It’s pretty basic ballet and just cute little girl stuff but I’m happy with it. I want to see her get into competitive dance when she gets older, but we’ll just have to see. Right now money isn’t actually that tight and I think I can manage putting her into competitive. I’ll post pictures up of the recital when I can.

I am currently single at the moment but I really don’t mind it. I don’t feel lonely, yet sometimes I do. I have my daughter and my best friends and school to keep me occupied. My life is moving way too fast right now to add another person to the mix. I like it this way and I think that if the timing is right, then it’ll happen.

I guess I should update more often. We’re still at my parents place and won’t be leaving until this Friday. I’m starting to feel so much better now and my whole family is trying to move along too. I just can’t express to you all how much my grandfather meant to all of us. He practically was like my second father, and I could say that for my siblings and my cousins. It’ll probably take us all a while. Alexa is too young to realize what’s going on, which is understandable. On the lighter side, I have almost everything ready for Alexa’s birthday. A few things here and there and I’ll be all good. A good update for you guys.

So, yesterday and today have been rough for me. First off, we went to the cardiologist yesterday for Alexa’s heart murmur. Her heart checks out perfectly fine. The doctor said that she’ll eventually grow out of it but I should watch out for it at the next monthly appointment. I just got to my parent’s house this morning with Alexa and Lyla. My grandfather’s funeral is tomorrow and I have been such a mess. Just a quick update and thank you for all your condolences.

Just got a call from my mom. My grandfather passed away. I can’t say enough about this man. He was there from the time I told my family I was pregnant to when Alexa was born. He was there when she said her first word and he helped teach her how to walk. Not only that, but he was my best friend. He taught me how to grow up and be who I am today. I can not thank my pa-pa enough for all he has done for me. ”Just pay attention to yourself, that’s all that matters, you and that baby.”

So this morning, I took Alexa to her monthly appoint, being that she has a terrible immune system. Height and weight are looking good, milestones are being crossed off, and over all she looks good on the charts. But of course nothing is ever okay and the doctor found a heart murmur. She says it’s nothing to worry about and she referred us to a cardiologist just to make sure. So we’ll be going tomorrow, fingers crossed that nothing is serious. I decided to take her to the park after lunch and Lexa made some new buddies. Afterwards I put her down for a nap and she was out. SHE SLEPT LIKE A ROCK FOR 5 HOURS!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it! Now she’s up and I don’t know what type of night we’re looking at. Yikes.

I can not wait for this weekend you guys! My second mother’s day ever and I’m celebrating it with my best friends and Alexa. We live a good 3 hours from my parents’ home and I don’t think we’ll be making the trip down to see my mom. Alexa wasn’t feeling well yesterday and today so we’re not risking anything with her. My poor baby. She ate soup and watched television all day.

because if your daughter tells you that she still really loves you even though you said a bad word after you stubbed your toe then you still walk her to get ice cream even though it’s rainy and you let her hook the house key to her belt loop because it makes her feel important and you let her jump through the puddles because pants wash and tacky $4 thrift store boots aren’t that important and you let her get extra hot fudge because someday she won’t be able to without feeling guilty and you let her eat it all in front of you even though you went vegan this week and it almost kills you and you let her talk about how much fun she had at her dad’s girlfriend’s house without getting butthurt because you’re just happy that she’s happy and that’s all, and she’s so excited to see you after a few days that she won’t stop telling you you’re the best mom ever and kissing the hand you’re holding to protect her from traffic about twenty times in a row and there are a million reasons not to do anything or to get upset and uptight, but if at the end of the day all you have is some dirty pants, a lost house key, and a kid on a sugar rush - you’re doing okay. It’s all okay. Count what you’ve gained, not what you’ve lost.

I have decided, with the help of Lyla, for a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party. Because Alexa has so many friends in her daycare that are little boys, and alot of my baby cousins are little boys (boys rule our little world), we had to figure out what be appropriate for all the little kids. So Mickey/Minnie Mouse it is! That and also the fact that Lexa loves Mickey and Minnie. We have yet to find or buy a cake. Decorations are easy to get by. And we’ll have all of our friends and family here at the house. Just a heads up. Thank you guys for all your support too!

Today was Alexa’s first day of ballet classes. We signed up for a pre-ballet class actually. It’s because she isn’t two yet, just a month from now though. Wait, oh MY GOD! She’s two next month, my baby. =( Ahhh! I haven’t told you guys what I was planning for that yet. Anyways, haha, first ballet class. Just the basic introduction to stretches and playing cute games. Thank you so much!! Well, I’m busy most of the time, with school and Alexa. But on most days it’s school for a few hours, this is either at the local college or online in my room keeping Alexa locked out (of course being watched by the room mates) then I just plan my day with Alexa. Like today, I went to the campus for about 3 hours then I picked Alexa up and went to the park then had lunch and hung out at home. So yeah!

Are you planning on having more kids one day?
