Spent yesterday at the fountains. Alexa’s pretty new bathing suit!
Hi-
Lucy Cheswiler here, 18, blond, blue eyed, skinny, normal, and a mom. Yes, a teen mom, not the ones on television. I got pregnant at 16, and well you guessed it. I don't want to be famous for the mistakes I've made, why would I do that? With the help of my little girl, Alexa, I will prove teen moms are just normal with a little twist.

Spent yesterday at the fountains. Alexa’s pretty new bathing suit!
So this morning, I took Alexa to her monthly appoint, being that she has a terrible immune system. Height and weight are looking good, milestones are being crossed off, and over all she looks good on the charts. But of course nothing is ever okay and the doctor found a heart murmur. She says it’s nothing to worry about and she referred us to a cardiologist just to make sure. So we’ll be going tomorrow, fingers crossed that nothing is serious. I decided to take her to the park after lunch and Lexa made some new buddies. Afterwards I put her down for a nap and she was out. SHE SLEPT LIKE A ROCK FOR 5 HOURS!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it! Now she’s up and I don’t know what type of night we’re looking at. Yikes.

My sunshine. Thank you for being you.
I have decided, with the help of Lyla, for a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party. Because Alexa has so many friends in her daycare that are little boys, and alot of my baby cousins are little boys (boys rule our little world), we had to figure out what be appropriate for all the little kids. So Mickey/Minnie Mouse it is! That and also the fact that Lexa loves Mickey and Minnie. We have yet to find or buy a cake. Decorations are easy to get by. And we’ll have all of our friends and family here at the house. Just a heads up. Thank you guys for all your support too!
How we spent our day. At Alexa’s (and my) favorite park in the whole wide world.
Alexa recently had to be hospitalized. It was the scariest 3 days of my life. I had woken up and I went to go check on her (it was 8 in the morning, she’s usually up at around 7) and she was shivering and her lips had turned a shade of blue. It wasn’t even cold in the house. I remember screaming and waking Lyla and Lauren up. We wrapped her up in so many blankets and jackets and ran out to the car to go to the hospital. We got there about 15 minutes later. When we got there they told us that they would take her and asses her. She had reached a temp. of 104 and we had to spend the day there. The next day, my family came to see her and she was alot better. Thanks to the doctors and nurses. She wasn’t eating solid foods and so she had alot of juice and yogurts (which she didn’t mind). On our third day she had fully recovered and the doctor told us to make monthly visits or if problems occur because she is a premature baby and her immune system, like I said, is weaker than normal. To think that the common cold did this to my daughter. I really do want to thank all my friends and family and the doctors and nurses who helped me and my baby. I thank God too, for helping her get better. I don’t know what I’d do if this had become even more dire that it already was.
I think I’ve already told you guys how she has a weak immune system and that when she gets sick, she GETS sick. I just can’t stand seeing her sick. I am terrified when she gets sick because it can get so serious. God, I hope my baby gets better soon.
Alexa’s rocking her Alabama wear. I like the A cause it represents her name too.

It’s kinda small. But yeah, this was her 1st week of life outside the womb! She was so tiny! Everyone was so scared to touch her, as was I.
(For the Anon asking for a picture of when she was really little.)
